Montana Angler has access to over 10 miles of the Musselshell River in Central Montana. This medium sized river is a wade fishery and offers one undercut bank after another. Brown trout dominate the Musselshell and it has a healthy population of 12-18" trout with some larger fish to 25" possible. In the early season it offers excellent streamer fishing for big trout. As the summer progresses and flows drop the hopper fishing can be outstanding. We often combine the large Musselshell River with some other smaller waters in the same region during a day of fishing in this area.
